Call for Papers: 1st International Workshop on
Sustainable Embodied AI in the Scaling Era (SEA)

The scaling of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, particularly large language and vision foundation models, is driving a major shift in AI capabilities. This scaling era holds immense potential for embodied intelligence across various domains, including robotics, healthcare, and industrial applications. However, the computational and energy demands of these models pose significant challenges to sustainability, scalability, and deployment on resource-constrained hardware. The 1st International Workshop on Sustainable Embodied AI in the Scaling Era (SEA) will address these challenges, exploring solutions at the intersection of sustainability, efficiency, and large-scale embodied AI.

We invite research contributions on the following topics (but not limited to):
  • Energy-Efficient Algorithms for Large AI Models
  • Low-Power Hardware Design for AI Systems
  • Optimized Simulation Platforms for Efficient AI Development
  • Sustainable AI Model Training and Deployment Strategies
  • Efficient Inference for Real-World Applications
  • AI in Resource-Constrained Environments (e.g., mobile devices, edge computing)
Submission Format: Submissions papers (.pdf format) must use the IEEE Article Template and be anonymized and follow 2026 ICRA author instructions. The workshop considers two types of submissions: (1) Long Paper [8 pages]; (2) Extended Abstract [4 pages], including figures, tables and references.
Important: Our workshop will feature a Best Paper Award, and certificates will be presented during the workshop.
